Strategy
- Play from the correct order - cheating eliminates your point
- High handicappers can win Bingo by hitting first (shorter shots)
- Being farthest away first to putt gives you Bongo advantage
- Bango rewards accuracy, not distance - aim for the pin
Example
- Mike8 HCP
- Dave20 HCP
- Tom15 HCP
Par 4, 380 yards. Dave is shortest hitter, Mike is longest.
What happens
- Approach shots: Dave hits first (farthest out), lands on green. BINGO = Dave!
- Mike and Tom hit to the green. All on.
- Measuring closest: Tom is 10 feet, Mike 15 feet, Dave 30 feet. BANGO = Tom!
- Putting order (farthest first): Dave 2-putts. Mike sinks 15-footer. BONGO = Mike!
- Tom lips out his 10-footer.
Dave: 1 pt (Bingo). Tom: 1 pt (Bango). Mike: 1 pt (Bongo). All three players scored!
The 20-handicapper (Dave) scored just as many points as the 8-handicapper (Mike). That's the beauty of Bingo Bango Bongo.
